How do I book a camping pitch or a mobile home?
Please submit your enquiry via the website or by email. Your booking is confirmed as soon as we have received the deposit and the booking fee; you pay these after you have received our confirmation with the invoice. If you are booking a camping pitch, you will be given your pitch number straight away. Are you only booking a pitch for the early or late season? We accept bookings for a minimum stay of one week; shorter stays are also possible, as you are very welcome during those periods even without a booking.
What time can I arrive, and when do I have to leave?
Camping pitches are available from 12:00 and must be vacated by 11:00 on the day of departure; you can book for any day of the week. Mobile homes are available from 15:00 and must be vacated by 10:00; arrival and departure are on Saturdays. If you are arriving outside reception opening hours, please report to the bar. If you expect to arrive after 10.00 pm, please contact us in advance.
What is the difference between a yellow and a blue spot?
The difference lies in size, location and price. The blue pitches are either larger than 130 m² and/or are situated by the river or in a field with unobstructed views. All pitches are situated on woodland grounds amongst trees and shrubs, and no two are the same. When making your booking, please let us know what you prefer: quiet or central, sunny or shaded.
Can I visit in the early or late season without a booking?
Yes, in the early and late seasons, you are very welcome to visit without a booking. If you would prefer to book – either to be sure of a pitch or because you have a particular pitch in mind – that is of course also possible. We’ll ask you to pay a deposit, but you can settle the balance at the end of your stay. With the ACSI Card, ANWB Keycard or ADAC Campingcard, you’ll enjoy a fixed low rate during these periods.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, your dog is also very welcome here! We ask that you keep your dog on a lead whilst on the campsite. In the immediate vicinity and in and along the river, there is plenty of space to walk, play and enjoy nature together.
We ask that you do not leave your dog unattended on the pitch and that you bring your dog’s vaccination certificate with you.
What type of plug do I need for the electricity?
All camping pitches have access to 6-amp electricity, either on the pitch itself or in the immediate vicinity. You will need either the large blue European plug or the French plug (which looks similar to the Dutch one, but has a gap between the two pins). You can borrow adaptors from reception.
Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes, it’s free, throughout the whole site, including at your pitch.
When is the swimming pool open?
The swimming pool is open daily from 10.00 to 21.00 and is heated in spring and autumn. There is a beach area and a separate paddling pool for the little ones, a water playground with water jets and a jacuzzi, which is only open in the low season.
Can I eat at the campsite?
Certainly. Our bar-restaurant and pizzeria is situated on the terrace under the plane trees, right in the centre of the campsite. In high season, it’s open every day for lunch and dinner; in the early and late seasons, it’s open on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings from 6.30 pm. Takeaway is available every evening. You can book a table by calling +33 7 50 52 92 44.
How can I get some fresh bread?
Bread is delivered fresh every day and is available to order: please order by 6.00 pm for next-day delivery, either at reception or via our campsite app. There is also a bakery in the village, within walking distance. The small shop at reception sells basic groceries.
Do I need to bring bed linen for the mobile home?
Duvets and pillows are provided. There is one duvet measuring 240 x 220 cm and two measuring 140 x 190 cm. Please bring your own duvet covers and sheets. A cot or high chair can be hired on request.
What can I do with the children?
During the high season, our Dutch-speaking entertainment team organises daily activities including crafts, games, sports, the mini-disco in the swimming pool and large-scale games such as the treasure hunt and the lantern parade. There’s also the playground, the sandpit, the sports field, table tennis and, of course, the river to play in. It’s easy to make Dutch friends here.
Can I hire canoes?
Yes. We hire out canoes for two or three people. We also have gold-panning kits available for hire at reception.
How do I drive the caravan to the campsite?
From the N106 (Anduze exit) or from Alès, follow the D982 towards Anduze. After about 7 kilometres, once you’ve crossed the D3110, you’ll reach Cardet. There, don’t take the first turn-off but the fourth one towards the village and follow the signs for the campsite: this will help you avoid the narrow streets. Do not rely on your sat-nav here.
Can I also travel by train or plane?
The nearest station is Alès; from the Netherlands, take the TGV from Brussels or Paris to Nîmes, approximately 35 kilometres from Cardet. Public transport from the stations to the campsite is difficult. The nearest airports are Nîmes-Garons and Montpellier (80 km).
